Secret Lookouts and Hidden Gems

While the main lookouts get crowds, many lesser-known spots offer equally great views

Hargraves Lookout (Blackheath):

A gorgeous 1km walk down the dirt road from the WILDACRES® front gate,, this lookout provides incredible 270 degree views from Medlow Bath, across the Megalong Valley, the Kanimbla Valley and beyond. A Sunset favourite!

Cahill's Lookout (Katoomba):

Just 22 minutes from WILDACRES®, it offers western views, especially nice at sunset.

Mount Blackheath Lookout ( Mount Blackheath):

Directly across the Valley from WILDACRES own Kanimbla Cliffs stands Mount Blackheath. A destination for Hang Gliders, this lookout and picnic spot offers panoramic Kanimbla Valley views to Jenolan Caves and beyond.

Walking Tracks for Everyone

The Blue Mountains have over 140 kilometres of walking tracks for all levels, many just minutes from WILDACRES®:

Cliff Top Walking Track (Blackheath):

This 3-kilometre track between lookouts follows the cliff edge.

Prince Henry Cliff Walk (Katoomba/Leura):

This 7-kilometre track provides access to many lookouts.

Six Foot Track:

For experienced walkers, this 45-kilometre track follows an old horse track.
