Blackheath

Located at the highest point of the Blue Mountains towns and just 5 minutes from WILDACRES®, Blackheath offers a quieter option to Katoomba. The town is close to some of the best lookouts and houses famous shops like Gleebooks and The Victory Antique Centre.

Often considered the most spectacular viewpoint and only 2 minutes from Blackheath Village Govett Leap Lookout shows a great view of the Grose Valley. The 180-metre Bridal Veil Falls flows down the opposite cliff.

The Blue Mountains Heritage Centre, near the lookout, provides information about the region's plants, animals, and walking tracks.

Evans Lookout, just 5 minutes from Blackheath, provides another great view over the Grose Valley. The lookout is the starting point for the Grand Canyon Track, one of the highest rated walks in the Blue Mountains.

This 6.3-kilometre loop goes down into a canyon, where high sandstone walls create a special place with ferns, waterfalls and ancient trees. The track has well-kept steps and boardwalks but has steep stairs!
